Description

A tour through the trellises and rows of trees in Mair's Beerengarten (Mair's berry garden) is a sensory walk and impressive culinary journey in one thanks to the on-site fruit tasting.

From Mair‘s Beerengarten, you walk up to the parish church and follow the "Weg der Sinne" (Path of the Senses), which leads slowly uphill towards the edge of the forest and soon turns right. The trail then gets steeper and winds around a few bends as it leads up to the Antoniuskirche church, which is well worth seeing, and the striking Kalvarienberg (or calvary hill) with its wonderful views over the Inn Valley and the surrounding mountains. From there, the trail leads back down to the centre of Rietz, past the famous Kluibenschedl house and back to the starting point.
