Description
From the Weng hikers' car park, hike uphill along a forest path. Pass the Ebmahdalm and follow the path to the Feistötzalm. From here, a narrow mountain path leads steadily up through alpine pasture land. A short stretch of forest road and you reach the Prostalm. After a refreshing stop, you will have enough energy to perhaps make a detour to the Prostkogel (1244 m). For about 20 minutes of effort, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of Wilder Kaiser, Kitzbüheler Horn, Steinberge and Steinplatte. Back on the forest path, the trail crosses the alpine plateau of the Leerberg. At the turnoff to the Sprissleralm, keep going in the direction of Hinterberg. Soon a narrow path leads you left across a meadow and through a forest to Teufelsgasse. Crossing the rocky gorge makes the hearts of explorers large and small beat faster. According to a legend, the devil himself carved an alley-like labyrinth into the rock to lead sinful souls astray. After the mysterious Devil'sLane (approx. 45 minutes), you return to Weng via Feistötzalm and Ebmahdalm on the same path.
