If you have a slight dip on this technically moderate and varied hike, it is probably only due to the 138-metre-long suspension bridge over the fascinating natural river Lech.
Nestled between the Allgäu and Lechtal Alps, the Lech meanders its way. You can accompany it for a while on your hike. From Forchach to Stanzach and back again, it is around 12 kilometers on easy, mainly flat paths suitable for baby carriages. The suspension bridge crossing takes a bit of courage, but go ahead, the bridge delivers what it promises!
You start at the car park behind Haus Sport Fredy and walk in a northerly direction along the wide Lechweg, through shady pine forest and the protected Lech meadows to the suspension bridge in Forchach. Now cross the breathtaking suspension bridge and continue in a southerly direction along the wide, sunny track to Feldele - a beautiful clearing with a romantic hunting lodge.
Your path now takes you back through shady spruce forest, past the Schwarzwasserbrücke bridge and on to the bridge over the Lech. Finally, follow the well-marked Lechweg trail to Stanzach.
