Description

Starting point is the swimming pool in the centre of the village. After the first few metres of ascent on an asphalt road, the path continues leisurely along a stream rippling peacefully to the district of Weng. Following the signpost "Stallenalm", the trail then passes a farm (building yard) and continues to bear rest (the last bear in North Tyrol was shot here). On the right hand side you see the monastery St. Georgenberg, which defies imposing on a rock.

Continue slightly uphill to the Stallenalm alpine pasture. Already during the second half of the way the impressive rock walls of the Karwendelgebirge with huge gravel rocks rise left and right. You can often see chamois here. This hike is an insider tip for those seeking peace and quiet. The hike can also be taken by families, depending on the condition of the children.

Attention: from Bärenrast on bikes are not allowed
Please note: Currently no gastronomic business - the Stallenalm is temporarily closed.
