We leave the venerable Berliner Hütte in the knowledge that our next destination, the Greizer Hütte, is not short on charms either. A dream view of the eternal ice and the promise of excellent cuisine. During the 7-hour hike, it is wonderful to ponder Tyrolean delicacies without losing sight of the trail.
Difficult stage on black mountain paths. Sure-footedness and alpine knowledge required for the often steep climbs. One steep section with rope insurance. A good level of fitness is required.
From the Berliner Hütte, 2.040 m, one follows the well-maintained hiking trail No. 502 to Schwarzsee. From there, you can enjoy a splendid view of the Großer Möseler, 3.480 m, and the Turnerkamp, 3.420 m. Further east, the trail leads to the Mörchner Sattle, 2.849 m. During the descent, some sections are secured with ropes and ladders facilitate the way. Surefootedness is absolutely necessary here. Upon reaching the valley, you cross the Floitenbach and continue ascending on trail No. 502, navigating through numerous switchbacks, to the Greizer Hütte, located at 2.227 m.
