Mountain hikes Stage Berliner Höhenweg (Zillertal Runde): Kasseler Hütte - Edelhütte

From the Kasseler Hütte, 2.178 meters, follow trail No. 502/519 northward downhill. After about 15 minutes, the trail splits, and you ascend slightly to about 2,150 meters. Continuing to follow trail No. 502/519, it leads over numerous steep slabs and rugged terrain to the north. Along the way, you'll cross the seven ridges that give this trail its name: "Der-Sieben-Schneiden-Weg". Upon reaching the last ridge, the Popbergschneide, 2.448 m, an offshoot of the Ahornspitze ridge, 2.973 m, descend for about 30 minutes to the Edelhütte, 2.238 m. Depending on the time of day, you can descend from there to the Ahornbahn and ride the cable car down to the valley or spend the final night comfortably at the Edelhütte, 2.238 m.
