Friedrichshafnerer Hütte - Schafbichljoch - Fasultal - Kuchenjöchli - Darmstädter Hütte
Difficult, energy-sapping stage on black mountain paths. The route leads through high alpine terrain. With snowfields and partly steep passages. Alpine experience, surefootedness and a head for heights are required. Very good physical condition required.
From Friedrichshafener hut up to Schafbichljoch at 2,636 metres above sea level. Descent via the Fasul valley to the wooden bridge across Fasulbach. Follow the signposts to Kuchenjöchli at 2,730 metres above sea level and continue along the Apothekerweg trail to Darmstädter hut.
With the railway station in Landeck, the Paznaun is optimally connected to the Austrian train network. From Landeck-Zams station, only a short bus ride separates you from the Paznaun. Every half hour, line bus 260 runs from there through the valley.
