There is an attraction around every bend: impressive cultural monuments and natural beauties, a zoo of rarities and a Haflinger stud farm can be seen and experienced on this varied circular hiking trail.
So many adventure highlights on a circular hike of just nine kilometers! The easy, family-friendly hiking trail with only a few steep inclines leads through tranquil hamlets and meadows and opens up far-reaching views of the Inn Valley and the Kaiser Mountains. A worthwhile detour to the Aschinger Alm with its country inn and farm store is also possible.
Follow Kaiserbergstraße between the church and Oberwirt in the direction of the Kaiser Mountains. After about 1,000 meters, the road becomes steep. At the edge of the forest, the incline begins toward the St. Nikolaus Chapel. At the end of this climb, turn left to pay a visit to the chapel. Then, continue along the paved road, which gently ascends, passing small clusters of houses.
From here, you’ll have expansive views of the valley, reaching all the way to the Inn River gorge near Erl. At the intersection near the Ledererwirt, take a left and continue down the paved road. Near a large farm, turn left onto a gravel path. After leaving this path, you’ll walk through the Ebbs settlement, passing Fohlenhof Ebbs, the world center for Haflinger horses, and return to the town center.
