An adventure hike from Ellmau village centre to the Wochenbrunner Alm mountain hut from where you can enjoy stunning views and the Ellmau Stone Circle.
It´s best to have a good breakfast before you start this hinking day at the hiking info point in the village. From the Sporthotel you take the overpass and pass the 27-hole golf course and come to the Wochenbrunnweg. After about an hour and a half you come to your first goal: the Wochenbrunner Alm mountain hut with a large panorama terrace at 1,085 m. The hut is particularly popular for families: in the wildlife park with stags, roe deer and mountain goats, children can get right up close to the normally quite timid mountain animals, whilst parents can enjoy the magnificent views. The tour continues via the Ellmau Stone Circle, a self-enclosed natural force field full of energy by the Wilder Kaiser. You continue cross country through a fir forest until, in aprrox. 30 minutes, you come to the rustic Riedlhütte mountain hut. You return along the forest road to the Haflingertränke. Shortly afterwards, turn left towards Lamahof Koglhof (signpost towards Kaiserbad). First through the forest and then through the district of Biedring back to the starting point in the village.
