Description

From the car park at the Maria Waldrast monastery, walk a few metres to the fountain in front of the pilgrimage church. There the marked trail no. 121 begins, which first leads through a forest and has numerous high roots. Once you have left the forest behind you, you cross a mountain pine belt at the foot of the mountain. The trail continues in the Serlesgrube above the forest line over scree and stones to the Serlesjöchl. At the key section with iron ladder, watch out for possible "oncoming traffic" from above. Once you have overcome the ladder and the short passages with steel cables, the path leads over countless short serpentines towards the goal. A view down from the summit cross shows the Wipptal valley with its side valleys to the south and the Inntal valley and the provincial capital Innsbruck to the north.
