This challenging tour leads from the Penningberg via the Markbachjoch, Feldalphorn (1,923 m) and Schwaigberghorn (1,990 m) to the Kelchsau - a real highlight for experienced hikers!
The starting point of this challenging tour is the sports field at Penningberg in Hopfgarten. From there you start to the Penningdörfl (No. 73).
From Penningdörfl you follow the signposting no. 73, past the Mittermoosen lake, to the summit of the Markbachjoch (1500 m).
Continue hiking on trail no. 74, past the Holzalm to the chapel at Horler Stiegl. From there you follow the hiking trail until you reach the Feldalphorn (1923 m) after about another hour and a half.
From the Feldalphorn you follow the signposting No. 75 further to the highest point of the tour, the Schwaigberghorn (1990 m). Passing the Neustattalm and the Alpmessaualm, the route continues along mountain paths and forest roads to the destination, Kelchsau (No. 75).
Arrival at the starting point by public transport not possible.
End point: Kelchsau Steinbrücke (bus stop)
