Description

Starting from the Gasthof Feuerstein, you first walk up through a rustic forest on the north side of the massif. Passing beautiful meadowlands of "Schleimes" and with a magnificent view of the end of the Gschnitz valley, you finally reach the Scharte to Hintersanders, whose wide valley basin is flanked by the mighty walls of the three Tribulaunspitzen. Following the ridge and a little exposed, the route now leads through an interesting rocky landscape up to the summit of the Gargglerin - here you are rewarded for the effort of the ascent with a fantastic panoramic view of the entire valley. Once you are finally fed up with the beautiful panorama and feel more and more like something more physical, follow the path back to the saddle. Walking in a wide arc through the whole valley basin, from here you will reach the beautifully located Tribulaun hut opposite. For the last part of the tour, one follows the access path to the hut via Vordersanders back to the starting point.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION
From the car park at Gasthaus Feuerstein, you first follow the asphalt path to the Laponesalm. After about 500m, near a wayside shrine on the left side, a path turns off, marked by a signpost. The path now leads on the left side of the valley in serpentines up to a saddle, first through the forest, later over former alpine pastures. For the last 150m from the saddle to the summit, follow the path near the ridge in a northerly direction. The descent to Tribulaunhütte is then back over the saddle and from there in a wide arc over the Hintersanders basin. In the course of the descent, one finally reaches the Dolomieuweg coming from Sandesjöchl, which leads below the steep walls of Tribulaune to the hut. From there, one follows the Max Dellantoni path with nr. 127 for the return to the valley.

TIP OF THE AUTHOR
In early summer, when the blossoms of the alpine plants unfold their full beauty, the tour is especially worthwhile.
