Description

Character: medium difficult hike in the footsteps of the ancient Romans

Description: Starting in Serfaus across the St. Zeno bridge, at the Lärchenhof (S088) downwards until you reach the crossing (S162). Pass the chapel and walk on the track no. 5 which leads you to St. Georgen until you arrive at the crossing Riesenweg trail (S170). Walk further into the valley until you reach the crossing Stadlwies (S171) then take the forest trail no. 15 to Tschupbach (S177). Follow the signs „Tösens, Römerweg“ until you arrive at the next signpost (S178). This path runs through the village Untertösens, on the left riverside of the Inn, which politicaly belongs to the municipal of Serfaus, then keep walking over the grasslands and wetlands. After this, circumvent a rockwall next to the Inn. The trail is very slim, but well secured. At Frauns, the ascent begins, who leads you back to Serfaus. You will need these numbers to get the Römerweg medal. In the Inntal valley, the Römerweg trail is called Via Claudia and also signposted with a „B“.
