Description

Starting from the pilgrimage church of St Anthony in Rietz, follow the signposted path that first leads past the Rietz sawmill. The route then climbs uphill on a slightly ascending forest path through beautiful countryside.

After around one and a half hours, you reach the idyllically situated ‘green bench’, which invites you to take a short break with a wonderful view. From here, the ascent becomes somewhat steeper as the forest path continues uphill.

Finally, you reach the Peter-Anich-Hütte at 1910 metres, where a well-earned break with regional delicacies awaits hikers. The hut offers a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain landscape and is a perfect destination for nature and mountain lovers.

For the way back, you can take the same route back to Rietz or choose an alternative route depending on your fitness level.
