Mountain hikes Penkenjoch - Zirbenweg - Middle Station

Description

Take the way from the Penkenjoch (path 23) and walk on in approx. 30 minutes to the “Kasermandl am Penken” at the top station of the Kombibahn Penken lift. From here along a broad car track down and turn off left onto the hiking path, leading to the top station of the Penkenbahn, past the restaurants “Pilzbar” and “Bergrast”. Then hike along trail 22 to the "Gschösswandhaus". Walk along the wide path into the valley until, after a short descent, it meets trail 22 b or 22 c, which leads to the middle station of the Finkenberger Almbahnen. After a short rest in the "Almstüberl", a comfortable gondola ride to Finkenberg follows.
