What must smugglers have felt like in the old days? Well, today we get an impression on the old paths, including the green border crossing to Italy. Gasthof Hochfirst is located directly on the popular Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road - our destination for today's stage.
Medium-difficulty stage on red mountain paths. Sure-footedness and alpine experience are required. A good level of fitness is required.
Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or our local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination.
