Ötztal Trek Stage 19

St. Leonhard im Pitztal /
Difficulty ratings: difficult
Route length: 11 km
Duration: 5:00 h

Stage 19 also keeps us on our toes, as we have to negotiate a few bends and a small glacier. The spectacular view makes us feel better and lets us forget some of our exertions. Our stage destination is the Hauerseehütte - a self-catering hut. We unpack the snacks we have brought with us and enjoy the peace and quiet from the hut bench.

Tour character

Difficult, demanding and long stage on black mountain paths. Sure-footedness and high alpine experience for demanding, partly pathless terrain as well as steep climbs and scree fields is required. Glacier experience and a very good level of fitness are required.
