Description

From the centre of Scheffau, follow the signs in the direction of Jägerwirt and Ellmau. You walk through the forest along the Treffauerbach stream until you reach the Mittersbach farmhouse. There you turn right towards Ellmau and at the next junction turn left along the asphalt road up to the Ötting and Kaisern farms. Shortly after the farms at Kaisern, turn right downhill along forest path no. 22 to Ellmau. You pass the Haflingertränke and the farms at Grub and Buchau until you reach Auwald, where the Gasthof Föhrenhof inn is located. Via the districts of Horngach and Niederachen you return to Scheffau via a field path.
