Mountain hike: Mayrhofen Zimmereben - Penkenbahn top station
From the Klettersteig parking lot at Zimmereben, follow the road south to the district of Kreuzlau. Continue on the Mariensteig trail route no. 2 to Astegg. From Astegg, you can either hike on trail no. 2 or take the gravel road to Gschössalm and then continue to the beautifully located Gschösswandhaus, 1.784 m. From there, it's just a few more minutes to the Penkenbahn cable car station. To return, you can either take the same route back or use the Penkenbahn.
