On the way to the Dalfaz Alm, you can expect rippling waterfalls, blooming alpine meadows and impressive panoramas over Lake Achensee and the surrounding mountains. A destination that inspires with its views and genuine Tyrolean hut atmosphere.
A varied hike that leads through alpine meadows and dense forests in the Rofan mountains, with the Dalfaz Alm as the destination. The trail offers impressive views of the turquoise-blue Achensee and the surrounding mountains. Small streams and waterfalls babble along the way, providing refreshing moments. The Alm is located at 1,693 meters and rewards you with a fantastic view of the Rofan mountains and cosy Tyrolean hospitality. The route is technically easy and follows well-maintained hiking trails.
From the valley station of the Rofan cable car, follow the path past the hotel Naturhotel Alpenblick until you reach the wooden bridge. After the bridge, the forest road turns left and after ca. 300 metres a narrow trail branches off to the right. The trail climbs to the Durraalm (not serviced) by way of switchbacks. Walk along the Durrawand until you reach the Dalfaz Alm (2 hours 30 minutes). From the Dalfaz Alm, take the switchback trail to the valley past the Teisslalm (not serviced). Continue along the well-signposted trail to the viewing platform near the Dalfaz waterfall. Be sure to take a break on the viewing platform before descending to the valley. At the end of the waterfall trail, you reach a forest path that takes you back to the valley station of the Rofan cable car.
