Mountain hikes Lindernrunde 5

Description

Walk past Oberndorf from the tourist office. In front of the Bichlachbad swimming pool, keep left and hike into the Oberndorf forest park. In this popular local recreation area, a forest nature trail has been set up and you will learn interesting facts about wood stock and wood use as well as about the former mining industry until 1925 in our region. Now continue straight ahead on a moderately ascending forest path to the second crossroads, where Lindernweg no. 5 joins on the right. Follow this until you reach the Rerobichlstraße, cross it and then continue your hike on the path straight ahead in the direction of Lindern. On the asphalt path you will first reach the sports field, then a gravel road branching off to the right will lead you to the Lindernhof, a magnificent old farmhouse with a dreamlike location.
Quietly enjoy a few minutes in this magnificent landscape and let the surrounding mountain scenery take effect on you.
Continue downhill to a bridge over the Reither Ache and follow the Achenpromenade to the Reither Bundesstraße. Stay on the left side of the main road for approx. 300 m until you reach the former Reinache inn. Approx. 50 m further on, a gravel path leads back to Oberndorf. For the thirsty and hungry, there is an opportunity to stop at the Bichlhof inn. In winter is starting the toboggan run Oberndorf there. At the Bichlhof you have a beautiful view of the Leuken valley before you finally hike back to the village centre.
