Description

From the village center, walk along Speckbacherstraße in the direction of Oberndorf. At the chapel Fixlerkapelle in Apfeldorf turn left to get on the path up to the alpine pastures. At the end of the residential road, the hiking trail branches off to the right. The path winds up through the forest and finally ends at the alpine inn Hirschberg. The hike now descends leisurely to lake Schlosserbergsee and a beautiful view of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range. In a few minutes walk you will reach the inn Pointenhof and its 3-D archery course. Now follow the road for a short distance until you reach Buchwies. Here you hike downhill on a trail through the forest to the Hilscherpark forest playground at the valley station of the gondola Harschbichlbahn.
