Description

The circuit walk runs right next to the village centre on a forest path along the Treffauerbach stream. Starting from the village centre (church), follow the road downhill to the south until you find the path down into the forest on the left just before the fire station. The path leads you along the stream and past the open-air inhalatorium, where salt water trickles on fir twigs. Take a few deep breaths, it's good for your airways. Furthermore you will pass the site of an old chalk oven. The path then climbs slightly and brings you back to the Scheffau village center. The walk ends between the church and the community hall, where you can cool off your arms and legs in the water basins.
