This tour starts at the information office in Brixen im Thale, we keep left and walk towards Erlensee, cross the bridge after the playground, keep right and follow the Brixental Valley cycle path to the Kandleralm junction. Uphill along the forest road, after approx. 50m we cross another bridge and follow the road to the Kandleralm (refreshment stop and great panorama), continue on the road to the fork in the road, keep left past the Rechentalalm, cross a stream, at the edge of the forest we follow a narrow hiking trail until a staircase leads us over the fence on the left. We hike down into the valley until we reach the forest road, from where there are two options: either towards the Brixenbachalm (refreshments available), then the Way of the Cross back to Brixen, or via the forest road to Brixen im Thale.
