Kaisers /
Difficulty ratings: medium
Route length: 8.4 km

How do you conjure up fresh dishes every day at 2,251 meters? The enthusiastic team at the Leutkircher Hütte relies on volunteer porters and the helicopter delivery service for the ingredients.

Tour character

No fear of heights on the Almjurjoch, which offers fascinating impressions of nature and tasty culinary delights: The Leutkircher Hütte can be reached from Kaisers in the Tyrolean Lechtal (4.5 hours' walk), as well as in several variants from St. Anton am Arlberg. The shortest route is from the mountain station of the Kapall chairlift in St. Anton. It can be completed in around 1.5 hours and is partly secured by ropes. Surefootedness is therefore required on all approaches!

Description

Coming by car from Steeg, you have to turn right off the main road before Kaisers in the direction of Boden (follow the signs at a wooden hut on the road).
You can park your car at the end of the small settlement.

From here, walk along a forest road towards Bodenalm. Shortly before the Bodenalpe, the path to the left leads you in the direction of the Leutkircher Hütte, initially very steeply uphill. Then you walk on a flatter path past the Almajuralpe across meadow slopes to the Leutkircher Hütte.
