Short hike from Jägerwirt to the Kaiseralm with great mountain views.
The starting point is the Wegscheid car park below the Jägerwirt restaurant. You can reach it either on foot from the village centre of Scheffau via hiking trail no. 814 or by car. From the starting point, follow the forest path no. 826/814 to the crossroads at the former Wegscheid-Niederam. Keep left here and continue until you cross the Wegscheidbach stream. Continue on trail no. 814 across the alpine pasture up to the Kaiseralm (1,146 m). After a break and a panoramic view of the rock faces of the Wilder Kaiser, continue downhill on forest path no. 826. Shortly before the Schießling farms, take a sharp left onto a dirt track and return to the Jägerwirt via a few steps and the forest, past the Treffern farm.
Tip: Just behind the Kaiseralm you can reach the Seilabodenkreuz in about 10 minutes uphill via a path on the left - a beautiful viewpoint that is well worth a visit!
