Description

Located directly adjacent to the Zillertaler Höhenstraße road, the Hubertus wildlife trail is lined with stations that are perfect for play and discovery – as well as picnic spots and wooden loungers to help you relax and unwind. A lovely wide gravel path through alpine meadows lets visitors of all ages explore the world of the local alpine
animals. A wonderful adventure for the whole family! You can join the route at any of the inns and at Hubertuskapelle chapel.
Play and learning stations for young and old
Young explorers will come across lots of animals native to the Zillertal valley at eight stations, from hare to fox, deer to chamois, and wood grouse to marmot. There’s so much to learn in a playful manner, and there are also balancing exercises on tree trunks, wild streams, and cold fountains to ensure that boredom is out of the question. Searching for animal tracks in the sand, life-sized wooden marmots, and, as a reward, panoramic views from the deer stand!
Relax & explore
Benches and wooden loungers are there for you to enjoy a breather. Not only does an eagle watch over the large picnic area, the peaks and valleys of the area can be explored using the telescope with an automatic display. At the Kaltenbacher Skihütte there’s a children’s playground and petting zoo with rabbits, goats, and sheep - and also real marmots can be observed here!

stop off possibilities: Kaltenbacher Skihütte, Zirmstadl, Platzlalm
