Description

This hike starts at the church in the center of Oberndorf. Head right for 500 meters and take the railway underpass to the hamlet of Wiesenschwang. At Müllnerhof, which boast's the world's largest wooden fountain, make a left and follow Römerweg towards St. Johann. At the small bridge a trail branches off to the right to Bassgeiger Alm. After a short asphalt section to Griesbachhof, the trail travels through a forest to Bassgeiger Alm. After about 15 minutes you will get to Müllneralm from where it's only a short hike to the mountain lake Angereralmsee and the Hornpark Tree Top Adventure Park. Continue along the forest road with the lake to your right until you hit the narrow trail to Stanglalm. After a short stretch through a forest the trail continues through an alpine meadow and then turns into a gravel road to Stanglalm. Take your time to enjoy the magnificent view of Wilder Kaiser, Hohe Salve and Hahnenkamm. To return to the valley take Stanglalmstraße to the hamlet of Haslach with its beautiful old farmsteads, and continue via Wiesenschwang back to Oberndorf.
