Mountain hikes Holzgau - Kemptner Hütte

Description

The starting point of the hike is Gasthof Bären in Holzgau, to the left of the Höhenbach stream you walk northwards via the Simms waterfall and Cafe Uta to the meadows. Following the Höhenbach stream, the leisurely hiking trail ascends through the picturesque valley to the lower Roßgumpenalpe. There is another opportunity to stop for refreshments here before the trail - now on natural paths - continues uphill towards Mädelejoch. The final ascent to Mädelejoch involves more steep and arduous sections. As soon as you reach the height of the pass, it is mostly a leisurely descent to the mountain hut, which is soon in sight.
