Beautiful hike around the Hintersteiner See lake and to a small alpine village.
The hike starts on the eastern shore of the idyllic Hintersteiner See lake at the Restaurant Seestüberl. First you hike along the southern shore on forest path no. 822 to the Jausenstation Maier. From there, continue along forest path no. 45 to the Walleralm. After a rest in the small "alpine village" (the alpine pastures are not open in winter), take the same route back to the Jausenstation Maier. The last section is along the asphalt path on the northern shore of the lake via the Jausenstation Goingstätt back to the starting point at the Restaurant Seestüberl.
