Hüttenrundwanderung auf den Hahnenkamm
****
Swedish flower hens, Graubünden radiated goats and Valais black-nosed sheep. On the circular hike around the Hahnenkamm, which is actually only 10 kilometers long, you get to see quite a bit of the world. At least if you stop off at the Schneetalalm - which, incidentally, is a prime example of a slow food hut.
Extensive circular hike with ascent via the Hahnenkamm cable car and summit crossing of the Schneid. Leads past several places to stop for refreshments, but the highlight is certainly the Schneetalalm, whose slow food concept earned it the award for Hut of the Year in 2024.
From the valley station, the 15 km long, well-signposted circular hiking trail leads up into the Hahnenkamm mountain world and back down into the valley via the Holzer Bergweg. There are five huts along the route with spectacular panoramic views over the Reutte Nature Park region, all the way to the Zugspitze.
After the first ascent to 1,670m, the Höfener Alm awaits you at the start. This is followed at 1,730m by the Panorama Restaurant - which is located right next to the mountain station and can therefore be reached barrier-free with the Hahnenkamm cable car. The Alpine Flower Trail continues to the Tiefjoch, after crossing which the rustic Schneetalalm (1,650m) invites you to linger with unique views of the Tannheimer Tal. The trail continues to the Lechaschauer Alm (1,670m) and the Gehrenalpe (1,610m) before leading back down into the valley to the starting point at the Bergwelt Hahnenkamm parking lot.
