Haggen - Steintalsattel - Kühtai (44)
The hike begins at the Haggen car park, directly on the Zirmbach stream. From there, take trail no. 42 and follow the path that leads you from the Forellenhof restaurant over the bridge and into the valley. After about 2.5 kilometres, turn right before the water catchment and start the steep climb up to the ‘Hüttl am Stoan’.
Continue on the right-hand path that leads up into the Steintal valley towards the Steintalsattel saddle. The summit of the Steintalspitze (with an altitude of 2,742 metres) lies to your right. Once you have crossed the saddle, the trail leads down to the Finstertal reservoir, where it is worth taking a short break to enjoy the view.
After the reservoir, the route continues to the Graf Ferdinand Haus, which is located on the route. Finally, you reach the valley station of the 3-Lakes cable car. From here, you can take the bus back to Haggen to round off the tour in comfort.
