Description

With the Mutzkopf chairlift you first drive up to the Kleiner Mutzkopf (1,812 m). From the mountain station, Route no. 9 leads slightly down through the forest to the Schwarzer See. The route continues on Trail no. 6a to the Grüner See. The nature-protected mountain lake is relatively warm and is ideal for a swim in the summer. Further south-east you can reach the Grossmutz meadows and the turn-off to the Grossmutz peak via a short, steep climb. From here the route goes on Trail no. 6 over the Partoang meadows. Short steep sections and flat meadows lead to the highest point of the Grosser Mutzkopf (1,987 m) with a beautiful view of Lake Reschen and the Ortler Group. On the way back, follow Trail no. 7, past the Tief and Riatschhof, and over a ski path (No. 5a) to the valley meadows to Nauders.
