Grenzgänger Etappe 1 - Bschießer, Ponten, Zirleseck und Willersalpe - Hinterstein

Difficulty ratings: difficult
Route length: 14 km
Duration: 7:30 h

Our last border walk between the Allgäu and Tyrol is about to begin. At the end, we experience thundering waterfalls, enjoy a snack at the Zipfelsalpe and hike across flower-filled alpine meadows, narrow ridges and paths towards Tyrol. At the Wannjochbahn, we can take the cable car to Schattwald or tackle the last few meters on foot.

Tour character

Difficult stage on black mountain paths. Sure-footedness, a head for heights and alpine experience are prerequisites for the sometimes challenging passages secured by wire ropes. Very good physical condition required.
