Description
Start at the valley station of the Spieljochbahn cable car. Follow the signposts to reach the Goglhof, then join a forestry road (toboggan run in winter) that leads towards the middle station along a number of hairpin bends. Continue to the left on the quiet road that heads past Kühstein – the highest farm in the area. Shortly afterwards, you need to head straight along a gravel trail for around 200 m until this merges with a meadow trail. If you follow the route of the road past the mountain farmstead, this will bring you directly to the middle station and the Kohleralmhof inn after around 20 minutes. In terms of the return journey, you can either ride the Spieljochbahn cable car down into the valley or follow the forest path to the Gasthof Sonnberg inn and then on to the valley station of the Spieljochbahn.
