Mountain hikes Gasthäusl zum Schoner - Gasthof Baumannwiesköpfl

Description

Starting from Fügen tourist information office, the trail leads out of the valley before bearing left at the Edelweiß bakery. When you reach the signpost next to the small bridge, keep right and head towards the Putzatal valley. From here, a beautiful and gently ascending hiking trail winds through the forest and along the course of the stream. This leads to a road; if you turn left, then after the next bend you will come to a forest path towards the Baumannwiesköpfl inn. (If you head to the right along the road, you will come directly to the “Schoner” – the name given to the inn on the signposts. Simply keep following the road from this point).
The route to the Baumannwiesköpfl inn leads you above the horse farm and then back onto the road for a short while. When you reach the signpost at the large farm, keep right and walk straight on towards the forest. Follow the course of the stream upward and cross a small bridge to reach the grassy hiking trail. Keep left and make your ascent to the Brandegg-Hof farm. Then follow the quiet road for approx. 1.5 km until you reach the Gasthof Baumannwiesköpfl inn.
