Description

Departing from the village centre, via the Kirchangerweg and passing the Kirchanger chapel, we reach the Waldhof.  Following a steep ascent through the forest to the Plattlhof, and across beautiful meadows, we arrive at the Gaisbergstüberl at the Gaisberg mountain-top station.  From here, the route leads along the forest road downhill to the Gasthof Obergaisberg.  After a short rest at the Obergaisbergsee (lake) which is beautifully embedded in the landscape, we can either return to the Kirchanger chapel or take the trail via the Schergrub to the horse-racing track.
