Description

From Gästehaus Elisabeth in the direction of Buchensteinwandrundweg. Via the Fieberbrunn hamlets of Pertrach and Schönau, you reach the Vornbichl along the railway tracks. A magnificent panoramic view towards the Wildseeloder region and the Wilder Kaiser adorns this section of the trail. From Vornbichl it is a bit uphill towards Hochegg and Kühle Klause. Follow the forest road and continue towards St. Jakob in Haus. From here the trail leads past the valley station of the Pillersee mountain railway (detour Jakobskreuz!) towards Flecken, a rural hamlet with beautiful old farms. Follow the path slightly uphill to the Wiesensee. Especially on hot days the Kneipp facility is a welcome change. Up and down the path leads towards Hochfilzen. At the farms Glaagut and Hörlbauer you turn off the road to the right and follow the circular path further on towards Fieberbrunn to the hamlets Pfaffenschwendt and Buchau. From here it is only a short way back to the guesthouse Elisabeth.
