Mountain hikes Fügen - Finsinggrund - Hochfügen (Trail No. 21)

Description

Starting at Fügen tourist information office, this trail leads straight into the valley across the roundabout, past the Erlebnistherme Zillertal thermal baths, and through to Rischbachkapelle chapel. Once at the chapel, head right and follow the course of the stream until the route merges with St.-Pankraz-Weg road. This leads directly to the pilgrimage church on Pankrazberg mountain (be sure to take a look inside!). Head back down along a small track, then follow the road when you come to the farm and cross the bridge in the direction of Kupfnerberg. A quiet, somewhat steep, and highly picturesque road leads up the Kupfnerberg along a number of hairpin bends. Shortly before you reach the Oberhaus snack station, the wide gravel hiking trail and cycle track branches off to the right towards Finsinggrund and Hochfügen. Though the route through the forest up to Hochfügen is a continuous ascent, it is easy and well-shaded. Keep walking directly alongside the Finsingbach stream until you reach the end. 
Remember: You can also complete your return journey from Hochfügen by bus!
