After the comfortable ascent with the Rosenalmbahn in Zell am Ziller, you are at the starting point of the approx. one-hour hike from the Rosenalm to the Kreuzwiesenalm delicatessen hut. The easy hiking trail no. 11 leads through fragrant forests and green alpine meadows to the romantically situated hut with a magnificent view of the Zillertal mountains. Throughout the hike, you will learn interesting facts about many culinary delicacies from the Zillertal with the help of lovingly designed signposts.
the anticipation of stopping for a bite to eat and sampling these specialties is even greater! But that's not all: so that you can enjoy the delicacies of the Kreuzwiesenalm and the other refreshment stops even after your vacation.
we have prepared a small recipe booklet for you to cook at home. The Schmankerlweg is the ideal hike for gourmets of all ages! You can either return via the same route or descend directly via hiking trail no. 12 a for approx. 2.5 hours to Gerlosberg and on to Zell.
