Description

The starting point of this challenging tour is the Wetterstein cable car car park. From there follow the Georg-
Jäger-Steig, past the Gamsalm via the Gamskar to the Wiener Neustädter Hütte (2,216 m). This tour is only recommended for experienced, surefooted hikers with a head for heights.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

●   Keep your distance from grazing animals
●   Be aware of the mountain hut opening hours

●   Good physical condition, surefootness and a head for heights required

    Summer & winter bus of the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena (free with guest card), Postbus (free in the region with guest card), excursion bus Bavaria-Tyrol (only for TZA guests and free with guest card), regional trains (Garmisch-Patenkirchen-Grainau-Ehrwald-Lermoos-Reutte), special bus to Lumagica-Ehrenberg Reutte (free with guest card, winter only, Sundays only)
