Description

The hike starts at the Silvrettabahn valley station and heads towards the Silvretta Therme. Continue to the hamlet Paznaun before crossing the road to reach the Pasnatschweg at Hotel Kristall. After about 50 metres, a narrow path branches off to the right into a quiet section of forest, which immerses the hike in a natural atmosphere. This section of the trail finally leads into the Stöckwaldweg, from where you pass the Mathias-Schmid-Museum, which documents the works of the famous painter and his significance for the region. After the Eggerstüberl, the tour follows the road before a short, steeper section leads down a stairway to the Fimbabahn valley station. The trail then runs alongside the Pardatschgratbahn valley station, follows the village road to the Bipa and leads through a small subway. From this point, the trail runs along the right-hand side of the Trisanna river, straight back to the starting point of the hike. Embedded in an impressive mountain backdrop, Ischgl combines traditional elements with a modern infrastructure of hotels, shops and cable cars. The village hike shows Ischgl in all its facets and invites to take a journey through time from a former mountain farming village to a modern tourist centre.
