Description

This flat and easy valley circuit takes you through the village of Going and the composition of the trail makes it perfectly suitable for families with baby buggies.

Starting from hiking starting point Going center (former tourist information Going) (764 m) follow the village road to the Raiffeisen Bank, turn left and go through the underpass. Now keep right and follow the Pramaweg following the signs to Badesee (bathing lake Going), past well-tended meadows and a small chapel. The Prama chapel is a real miner’s chapel and is a reminder of  the times of former mining in Going.

When you arrive at the bathing lake, one of the most beautiful natural bathing lakes in Tirol, you cross the gravel car park. The path joins a forest track and leads you through green fields. The pleasant peace and quiet and the sound of the stream keep you company. Then keep to the right and follow the road to the main road junction, crossing it at the pedestrian crossing.

Pass the Gasthof Reischerwirt and follow the road until you reach the junction with the main road towards Stanglwirt. (Note: This section of the trail leads directly along the main road and is not illuminated. Therefore you should rather avoid it at dusk or in the dark.) Along the way you can enjoy the panoramic views of the Kitzbühel Alps.

Along the way you can enjoy the panorama of the Kitzbühler Alps. Keep left at the large junction at Stanglwirt, where a footpath leads along the stream and through the shady forest back to Going. The path leads in the direction of Going until you reach the fire brigade station of Going, cross the bridge and car park to your right.

You walk left towards the village centre and pass the bakersy, which works with regional products. Just behind it is the Dorfwirt inn, which invites you to linger with its cozy terrace and garden. Next to it you will also see the Dorfwirt chapel. This was built in the middle of the 17th century.

Follow the Going creek for the last 300 metres and return to the starting point.
