The Memminger Hütte in the Lechtal Alps likes to be surrounded by water. There are three lakes in the vicinity - the lower, middle and upper Seewisee. We don't know whether this name refers to lakes or meadows. In any case, both are true.
Popular hike to the Memminger Hütte (2,242 m) in the Lechtal Alps, part of the E5 long-distance hiking trail. The route leads from the Madautal valley through an idyllic high valley with grazing Haflinger cattle and past an impressive waterfall. The hut sits enthroned in a wide basin and offers a magnificent panorama of the surrounding peaks.
From Bach through the Madautal valley, you can either go on foot, by mountain bike
or by taxi (minibus) to the Schoberplatz car park.
Cross the Paseierbach stream at the car park. Climbing eastwards on a good path through bushes, you reach a high valley where Haflinger horses graze in summer.
Ascending further through this high valley, you reach a waterfall, continue along the path along the northern flank of the Seekogel until a wide basin opens up, in which the Memminger Hütte is located on a small hill.
