Anyone who has never looked down on Innsbruck from above has never really been to Tyrol, we would argue. But where is the best place to do this? The Thaurer Rosskopf is definitely a good choice!
If you wish, you can climb the Thaurer Rosskopf almost entirely on a forest path. Only the last five minutes to the summit cross are on a narrow path. The Haselbergsteig and the Robert-Gasperl-Steig are rewarding, more challenging alternatives, some of which lead very steeply through beautiful forests and meadows up to the mountain. At the end, however, all paths lead past the Thaurer Alm, where you can stop for a bite to eat. From the summit, which lies exactly halfway between the valley floor of the Inntal and the peaks of the Nordkette, you have wonderful views both downwards and upwards.
The short but no less scenic hike takes us via the Thaurer Alm to the Thaurer Rosskopf. Also ideal for a quick workout after work!
