Description

The route begins in Niederau at the walking book near the Markbachjoch lift car park in the village centre. Not too far from there is the Auenweg, a lovely walk along a small stream. About half way along is a new playground. Parent can relax on one of the rustical benches and admire the views of the Markbachjoch and the colourful paragliders. The walk can be extended up to the Foisching mountain restaurant an it's small deer park.

The healing effects of herbs and plants are widely known, and herbs against all kinds of ailments also grow in the Wildschönau.
What it’s all about? Find out on the Healing Herbs Theme Trail along the Auenweg.
On the labelled boards along the picturesque hiking trail you will find interesting descriptions of plants including information about their efficacy.
