Mountain hikes Aschau - Zellberg/Tiefenbach - Aschau

Description

Departing from the village centre, head left to reach Hotel VAYA Zillertal. When you come to the signpost for Zellberg & Mühlfeld circular trail, go left again and across a small bridge. Then make another left turn and pass the Mühlfeld inn, where the hiking trail begins a steep ascent up to the right and into the forest. You will need to cross a forest road several times before the forest path leads you to the old Flaschber-Stall barn. Head uphill, following the hiking trail through meadows and woodland until you come to a quiet road. Once you have passed Wald farm, the trail leads downhill through the meadows to the Tiefenbach stream. After crossing the water via a small bridge, you should continue along the road past the farmhouses and the new chalets to reach Mizunhof farm. You then head downhill on an asphalt road (Tiefenbachweg) until this merges with Lechenweg, subsequently navigating a number of meadows and forest paths back to Aschau.
