Mountain hikes Aschau - old toboggan run circular walk

Description

Starting from the village centre, head left towards the Zillertaler Höhenstraße road as far as the end of the village. Then bear right onto a residential road, following this downhill until you reach the signpost. From here, the hiking trail leads through the meadows to the edge of the forest. Keep going until this trail merges with the 
toboggan run, then follow the gravel path to the left and along a moderate incline into the forest. The continuous ascent takes you past the Wallischer Johann cave and up to an old barn, where you should bear left, cross a meadow, and then hike back into the forest. The climb very briefly gets steeper until you reach a road. Keep left and this will guide you downhill back to the junction with the Zillertaler Höhenstraße road. Turn left again and hike along the road to return to Aschau.
