Description

The network of alpine pastures in the flanks of the Kellerjoch massif, which leads through several altitudes, offers ideal conditions for hikers who primarily want to look and enjoy. After the "Ascent" chapter has been completed at the Naunzalm Hochleger, you can stroll effortlessly both ways along two equally charming panoramic paths. Besides the view over to the Karwendel, the surrounding area is also worthy of attention. The wide southern slopes are a fantastically colourful flower paradise.

From the parking lot on the Loasweg through the forest. In the free alpine pasture you follow the wide alpine path branching off to the left in a few bends up to the Naunzalm Niederleger. Continue - partly on a meadow path, partly on the alpine pasture path to Hochleger. From there, one walks gently downhill on the plateau path - in June through a sea of alpine roses - to the Loassattel. There you could stop off at the Loas Alpine Inn, famous for its huge "Loas schnitzel". Return to the Naunzalm Niederleger and walk one floor below the Hochebenweg, partly through shady forest on the Galtererweg. The return to the starting point takes place on the known route. Refreshment stops are available in the hotels near the starting point (Gasthof Hubertus, Hotel Frieden, Biohotel Grafenast) or below the starting point directly on the road at Gasthof Sumperer.
