Description

The hike begins at the hiking starting point Going center (former tourist information Going) (764 m).

From here you follow the Goinger Hausbach until you reach the Raiffeisenbank, turn left and after the underpass left again. At the first big fork in the road, stay right on the Schwendterweg until you reach the Schwendterdörfl with characteristic farms. You follow the road always in the direction of Wilder Kaiser. The path leads into a gravel path that takes you through the forest. The pleasant silence and the murmur of the stream accompany you.

At the first opportunity you turn right, follow the road over a bridge and then turn left until you reach the Tannbichl parking lot at the end of the path.

You pass the barrier and hike along the forest path always in the direction of the Wilder Kaiser. After about 200 meters you will reach a well trough, which is fed by the springs of the Wilder Kaiser. Take your time and enjoy the refreshment. Follow the forest road past the Tannbichl Chapel and at the next fork follow the signs to the left towards the Gaudeamushütte.

After a while, the trail climbs a bit steeper until you come to a large intersection at the last section of the trail. Follow the forest road to the left until you reach the idyllic fairytale meadow. A truly fairytale sight, if you will. The clearing you are in right now is also worth a short break.

Through the forest via trail no. 813 you will finally reach the Gaudeamus hut. The team of the Gaudeamushütte delights its visitors with homemade dishes.

After a rest, hike along forest trail no. 822 for about 500 m until you turn left into the inconspicuous Kreuzweg (not signposted). Pass the St. Anna Grotto and continue through the forest until you reach the signpost "Abzw. St. Anna-Grotte".

Here turn left over a small bridge and follow the Spatlahnerklamm gorge downhill until you reach a road. Follow the road (partly footpath) over a bridge to a parking lot. At the end of the parking lot at the sign "Grünberg Brücke" turn left onto hiking trail no. 14. Walk through the cool forest until you reach the Riedling-Wochenbrunn junction, where you turn left towards the former Brennhütte.

Shortly before the hut, trail no. 4 leads into the forest in the direction of Going and you will then reach the small Blattl chapel at the end. Here you turn right, past the Blattlbauer to the Blatthof. There the underpass leads you to the other side of the road. Now you walk along the Auweg, the Goinger Hausbach accompanies you back to the starting point.
